It's the final week of our Winter storytime session with an exciting Spring right around the corner.  Fortunately my back has healed up a bit so I was able to get back into dancing form this week!  Good thing, because the kiddos were all kinds of wound up today!  Spring fever must be hitting a bit early!

100 Picture Books for the 100th Post!

This is my 100th post on this blog, and to celebrate I wanted to share the list of 100 Picture Books Everyone Should Know that was compiled by the New York Public Library.  It is from this list that I am gathering titles to read during my upcoming spring preschool storytimes.  There are a lot of classics on this list including two of my favorites, Make Way for Ducklings  by Robert McCloskey and Corduroy by Don Freeman!

Winter 2018 Preschool Storytime: Week Nine 2-27-18

How are we already at the final storytime of the Winter 2018 session?  Time flew this time around.  This session we focused on the alphabet and the sounds that the letters make as well as basic kindergarten sight words.  I'm working on Spring 2018 now where we will focus on things like telling time, days of the week, and weather.  Our books for the next session will be classic picture books which I am looking forward to.
