I recently signed up for a NetGalley account meaning that I will have access to manuscripts that are coming soon before they are published. Hopefully I'll be able to find some great things to share so stay tuned!
Welcome to the Adventures of a Caffeinated Children's Librarian. My name is Jenni, also known as Miss Jen to the tiny humans. I am in my sweet 16th year of working as a children's librarian, but have been raised to be in this profession with a preschool teacher mom and an elementary art teacher grandma. I have become known around the library for being super energetic, filled with crazy ideas, and willing to try just about anything! These are stories of my adventures!

Spring 2018 Music & Movement Storytime: Week Eight 4-25-18
What better way to celebrate the last storytime of the session but to bring out just about everything in the storytime closet! We had shakers! We had scarves! We had ribbons! There were multiple puppets and bubbles! Plus we added plastic balls to our parachute activity for a whole new level of fun! It was the best kind of storytime madness. We also read another rock star barnyard animal themed book. You can't get much better than that! This session flew by, and we had an absolute blast! I noticed a ton of progress in the kiddos, especially in the younger sibs who used to come in infant carriers who are now full-on, active participants in the program. It's awesome!

Spring 2018 Preschool Storytime: Week Eight 4-24-18
And that's a wrap on Spring 2018 Preschool Storytime! Wow! This session flew by! The kids did such a great job and really enjoyed hearing picture book "classics". This summer I am going to focus on classic authors and highlight several of their books in each program. We're also going to focus on kindergarten readiness skills since many of my munchkins in attendance, my daughter included, are headed that way this Fall. I also brought back on old fan favorite as our closing song. Total storytime club atmosphere!

Spring 2018 Music & Movement Storytime: Week Seven 4-18-18
I can't believe next week is the last week of our spring storytime session. Of course it has still felt very much like winter for the last couple of weeks which could be leading to the confusion! The kiddos have been doing a great job this session, and I have been witnessing a lot of growth in them. Many have been coming to the program since they were in infant carriers and now quite a few are going big siblings soon. Wow!
