100 picture books everyone should know challenge

So there are a lot of lists out there that highlight things like 100 books every child should read before kindergarten or the 100 best children's books, but the one you have probably seen most often is the New York Public Library's list of 100 picture books everyone should know.  Despite how many times I've seen it, read it, or recommended it, I've never actually taken the time to see if I have in fact read all 100 of them.  That's what I am doing today.  Who wants to take the challenge with me?

Spring 2021 Virtual Family Storytime 4/14/2021

It is still a little weird doing storytime in a virtual format, but the joy I experience interacting with the kiddos is still the same.  It feels wonderful to be a little "normal" again!

Five Magic Rabbits PowerPoint Rhyme

Lately I have been spending my time converting traditional storytime into a virtual format.  It has been a challenge, but it has also allowed me to play around with making PowerPoint rhymes.  This is something I used to do quite often, but it's been a little while.  So now I am bringing them back.  Here is my latest creation that will be making its debut when our virtual storytimes kick off next week.  Enjoy!

Crazy Little Thing Called Life

Wow.  I haven't posted in a really long time.  The last couple of months have been difficult and challenging, and I have been facing a lot of obstacles.  Life can really pack a punch sometimes.  I am slowly but surely working on myself.  I am working very hard to get back to 100%, although, I think even functioning at 80% would be a massive improvement!  I am looking forward to getting back in the game and regularly updating this blog.  There's a whole world of virtual programming that I have ventured into since last post.  That has been fun and challenging for sure.  Us children's librarian's have to completely reinvent our game!  I am hoping to add more book reviews and librarian picks and reach more people.  Stay tuned for what is to come!
