Welcome to the Adventures of a Caffeinated Children's Librarian. My name is Jenni, also known as Miss Jen to the tiny humans. I am in my sweet 16th year of working as a children's librarian, but have been raised to be in this profession with a preschool teacher mom and an elementary art teacher grandma. I have become known around the library for being super energetic, filled with crazy ideas, and willing to try just about anything! These are stories of my adventures!

A Midsummer Children's Librarian
This quote perfectly sums me up this time of summer. If I'm being totally honest, this is me all the time. One of the reasons why I become a children's librarian is because craziness and insanity make you better, and people don't question it once they hear what line of work you are in.
Summer reading is in full swing around here. I've been stamping gameboards like crazy and awarding prizes to many eager readers. Summer programming is also in full swing. Today I was in the middle of planning two storytimes and three separate programs. I was feeling quite mad, bonkers, and off my head. Being a children's librarian makes you multitask like no other! #skills.
This quote really fit today, but it has always been one of my favorites. Normal is boring. Be unique, be eccentric, be you! We are the cool kids after all!
