Yay! We're back in action! That August storytime break seemed a bit longer than usual this year. Everyone was eagerly awaiting the return of storytimes, myself included! This time around I am adding things like letter of the day and math topic of the day as well as a nursery rhyme. It's amazing how many kids don't know nursery rhymes anymore. For today's math topic, we talked about the concept of counting and how counting to 20 and identifying numbers 1-20 by sight is an important skill for kindergarten. The kids loved counting out the number of balls that was on each card and putting them into a basket. It was something so simple, but very fun and very important. It's great to be back. It's going to be a very fun fall!
