Getting back to my roots! Toddler storytime fun 7-3-17

Toddlers!  They're little, they're crazy, they're so much fun!  Way back when, toddler storytime was the first storytime that I led as a newly minted children's librarian.  So I am thrilled whenever I get to go back and lead a toddler storytime.  Alex, my uber awesome children's assistant is on vacation, so I got to party with the tiny humans.

Toddler Storytime:  7/3/17

Opening Song:  "Shine, Shine, Shine" (Track 1  Stinky Cake / Carole Peterson)

Opening Rhyme:  "If You're Wearing Red Today"

Book:  Click, Clack, Surprise! / Doreen Cronin and Betsy Lewin

Rhyme:  "Over in the Meadow"

Scarves Activity:  "One, Two, Three, Whee!” (Track #4 Groovy Green / Eric Litwin)

Book:  Bear Can Dance / Suzanne Bloom

Song:  “Bubbles” (Track #7 Superhero / Laurie Berkner Band)

Shaker Song:  “Shaker Hop” (Track #14 Dancing Feet / Carole Peterson)

Book:  Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons / story by Eric Litwin

Closing Song:  "Good-Bye Song"  Track 15  Early Childhood Classics / Hap Palmer

Closing Rhyme:  "Open Shut Them Goodbye Rhyme"

Let me just state for the record that bubbles are always fun, no matter how old you are, but no one appreciates them quite as much as toddlers!  My bubble machine and I got a workout, and fun was had by all!
