I'm back! It's been a minute. It feels like years, and I think I have lost track of how many times I have attempted to revive this blog. Maybe this time it will stick! These last two years have been such a wild ride. Can any of us even remember what "normal" feels like? It's been such a back and forth from curbside to virtual programs to reopening to in person programs, rinse and repeat. My library just started back with in person storytimes for the second time and are phasing back into all in person programs with a handful of virtual options. There are still benefits to virtual programs like getting to reach new kids on the opposite side of town who would otherwise not be able to come to my branch, easier access for visiting schools, and collaboration opportunities with other library branches and systems, some even across the country. For the longest time I always wanted to do virtual programs and was always given some reason or another as to why it couldn't happen. Guess it only took a global pandemic to make it happen! One silver lining, I guess. Being able to do things in person is definitely far preferable. I feed off the energy of the kiddos, especially in storytime. They often tell me that I am a big kid!
But anyway. I'm back and hoping to revive things. Let's see how it goes!
